Terms of Service

Acceptance

By creating a Z account, starting a trial, buying a subscription or otherwise using Z, you agree to these Terms. If you continue to use Z after we change these Terms, you agree to the changed Terms.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must accept these Terms for you and manage your account.

Your account

Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details and approved devices secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has accessed it.

Z for Developers

Z for Developers is a paid subscription for developers and vibe coders. It gives an app a live home inside Z: its own window on the Z desktop and phone that updates as you build, access for invited testers, Sign in with Z, and submission to Z Store. Every plan also includes the basic Z desktop plan: full access to the Z desktop and basic storage. More storage is available as a storage upgrade inside Z. The plans and what each one includes are listed on the pricing page.

Z does not host your code. Your app stays hosted by you, in the tool you build it with. Z shows it in an isolated Z window and lists it in Z Store.

Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Prices are shown in US dollars. Paddle adds any sales tax or VAT that applies in your country at checkout and may show the amount in your local currency.

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in Z for Developers or in your Paddle receipt. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.

If we change a price, the new price applies to new subscriptions. If you already subscribe, we tell you before your next renewal at the new price.

If a payment fails, everything keeps working for 7 days while the payment is retried. After that, the subscription is paused until a payment succeeds.

Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Free trial

New developers can try Z for Developers free for 14 days, without a card, once per Z account. During the trial you can connect one app and see it in your own live window on desktop and phone. Testers and Store submission are not included. The trial ends on its own, and you are only charged if you choose a plan.

Z Store submissions

Submitting a new app to Z Store has a one-time review fee per app, shown on the pricing page. Updates to an app that is already listed are included in your subscription.

We review every app against Z's published guidelines and may approve or reject it. If an app is rejected, you can submit it again once, free, within 30 days.

When a subscription ends

When a subscription ends or is cancelled, the live development window and tester access stop. An app already listed in Z Store keeps working for its users for 30 days, and is then hidden from the Store. Nothing is deleted, and renewing restores everything.

If a subscription payment is refunded, that subscription ends right away.

Deleting your Z account cancels your subscription immediately. See the Refund Policy for what can be refunded.

Your apps and content

You keep all rights to your apps, your content and the files you keep in Z. You give us a limited licence to show, run and list them inside Z only as needed to provide the service.

You are responsible for your app, for what it does and shows, for having the rights to everything in it, and for following the laws that apply to it, including how it treats its own users' data.

Acceptable use

You may not use Z to: break the law or help others break it; commit fraud, phishing or send spam; infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy; upload malware or harmful code; probe, scan, overload or try to get around Z's security, isolation or limits; scrape Z or its users' data; harass, threaten or exploit anyone, especially children; or pretend to be Z or someone else.

Our rights

Z, its software, design, name and brand belong to us and our licensors. These Terms give you the right to use Z as described here, and no other rights.

Service availability

We work to keep Z running and secure, but Z is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. Features, especially early access features, may change over time.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account or subscription for a material breach of these Terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated serious violations. Where it is safe and lawful, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. You can stop using Z and delete your account at any time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or business. Our total liability for any claim about Z for Developers is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Israel have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

Changes

We may update these Terms. When a change is important, we tell you in Z or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
